About Me

Boozhoo! Hello!

I live in the woods in rural Minnesota. Creating jewelry, other handmade items and trading bear grease are a few of my many hobbies. When I am not creating, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I am a wife, mother, reader, gardener, sometimes writer, and I enjoy cooking and creating recipes. I love animals and nature which provides the inspiration for my creativity.

I am also interested in my ancestry and am learning about my Ojibwe heritage and language. I created beginning Ojibwe coloring books to help me learn. I am a direct descendant of Grand Portage Band of Ojibwe tribal members and the great great granddaughter of John Beargrease.  My Ojibwe name is Maajiishkaa.
